Yes, I know this is a day late. But oh well!

Anyway, it’s finished — finally! Last night about ten minutes before midnight, I bound off. I’m so excited, and my mom can’t wait for some cold weather so she can wear it! I’ll be blocking it just as soon as a new design I’ve been working on is finished blocking, and then I’ll post a photo of the done-done project. For now, though, that’s a quick photo I took last night. :)

I really, really, really enjoyed knitting this shawl. It was my first time knitting one of Jared Flood’s designs, and I am very impressed and inspired by it. I learned so much about knitting (and a little about myself as well) during the process, and knitting it for my mom in one of my yarns in a colorway I custom-dyed for her… well, it’s a project that is very close to my heart. Now I can’t wait to knit another of Jared’s designs! Only this time, it’ll be for myself. ;)
