As I mentioned in my last post, my rediscovering my love of yarn and knitting this year has been mainly because of Shea, my unofficially adopted older sister. She’s started her own dye company, and it’s been so fun watching her wonderful style blossom and turn into beautiful hand-painted yarn that I’m honestly obsessed with. She sends me photos of her latest creations regularly, and each one make my eyes happy and my hands itch to pick up my knitting needles to CAST ON ALL THE THINGS!
Right now I have a small-but-growing selection of her yarn in my stash, and it’s not nearly enough! ;D I’ll be sharing photos of it as I can, but for now I wanted to focus on the colorway I’m using for a cardigan design, Prim.
I know the last shot is probably a little blurry and kinda dark, but I wanted to show a bit more of the knit fabric so you could see how it looks as more than a swatch. The colors work together so well, greens and teals fading in and out of the various shades of pink underneath.
I’ll share more as I get closer to finishing the design — and I’ll need test-knitters, so I will be putting a call out for that here and on Instagram!
Oh, and one last parting shot.. from a guild meeting I went to with Shea where she had a table set up showing off her epic dye skills. (I definitely left that show with a bit more yarn than I’d thought I would, ha! Photos coming soon of my goodies, including that sweet grey shade front and center!)
