I am so loving my newest Annie Yarn base, Nest. This design went so quickly, and not just because it’s a super bulky yarn, either! I just couldn’t stop knitting with it and enjoying how soft and squishy it is! And this pattern was super fun to knit and see how the colors and textures pulled together. It’s available now on Ravelry!
I’ll be offering the pattern, yarn in the exact colorways I used to design this, and an adorable hand-sewn project bag as a kit this week, so keep an eye out in the Ravelry group for the announcement!
Designer’s Notes…
Big cowls are my favorite winter accessory because they’re so versatile. When it’s really cold, I wrap twice for an extra barrier against that raw winter wind. But then when I’m warm, I can unwrap it once and it just keeps the chill away.
This cowl is so fast and easy to knit, it will probably be added to your go-to list for quick gift knitting. It’s also great for beginners. And knit up in Annie Yarn Nest, which is single-ply, it’s amazingly soft and squishy. Not to mention that it’s reversible! Oh, and since it uses two skeins, the sky is the limit as far as the look you can get. Use contrasting colors to make a statement, or go with tone-on-tone or even just a single color if you’re wanting something more tame.
Love the texture of yarn! It must be heaven to work with!
yes, it’s one of those yarns you have to pet every few minutes ;) it’s available in a kit right now at woolhousefiberco.com if you’re interested in getting some!
