I just posted my free pattern Oh, Brioche here on the blog to try out a cool feature in my theme called recipe cards. I thought it would be fun to utilize the spiffy formatting for posting patterns and also information about patterns. So I gave it a try, and I think it looks cool.
So naturally after posting that I would think about the next design I’m intent on finishing (finished Cathedrals yesterday!), the cardigan in Malabrigo Mecha that I mentioned earlier this week. Why? Because it’s got a lot of brioche. The hem, the button bands, the collar, and the cuffs will all be brioche. And in this yarn, it. is. wonderful. Mecha’s single-ply construction makes the stitch super squishy like Malabrigo’s Merino Worsted yarn does in Oh, Brioche. Only this is even squishier because it’s bulky weight!
I can’t wait to share more about the design as I get closer to finishing it. I’d love to have a couple of test-knitters, so if you’d be interested, please contact me via Ravelry! I can’t provide yarn support, but I know a lot of you have plenty of stash you’d like to work through. ;D
