For over a year I have been in love with the pattern On the Spice Market by Melanie Berg. I’ve seen so many color combos knitters have made that are gorgeous… but none of them spoke to me like the original colorways she chose from Miss Babs. I knew that I wanted to wait on making one until I could get those exact colors. And then they went out of stock. I was sooooo sad! So I put in my email address to be notified when it came back in stock (part of me didn’t think it would, as it’s such a gorgeous set!) and forgot about it.
Lo and behold, just before my birthday, I got an email that it was available! I don’t think you’d really call it an impulse buy since I’d been preying upon that listing for over a year, but it sure felt like one. I decided right then and there that I wasn’t going to miss it again. So I got it! FINALLY!!!!! Happy birthday to me, right?
To motivate myself to finish my WIP’s, I decided not to cast on this project until I have finished the ones I carried over from 2015 and 2016. I know I won’t lose excitement about this shawl, as I’ve been excited about it for over a year! So I can wait a lil longer. ;)
I have twine strung on the wall above my desk, and that’s where I put things I want to be visible, things I don’t want to forget about. I currently have a shawl design I need to release, my pointe shoes, my 2017 yearly goals poster, a watercolor calendar, my workout routine, my hard copy of On the Spice Market, and… my gradient set!! Gotta stay motivated to finish my WIP’s after all!
