Typically I’m not really one to do this sort of thing, but I think it might be a really good chance for me to have more structure in my knitting life. There are SO many things I want to knit (as y’all know) that it gets overwhelming and then I end up not knitting stuff because I can’t settle on things! Soooooo I’m going to do Make Nine.
Now, there will be some specific patterns I will include, but there will also be a few things where I list something general and to-be-determined like “sweater” or whatever to give myself room to choose things later. I want to build a more handmade wardrobe overall, so I want to focus on more garment knitting. I don’t have a lot in the way of sweater quantities, so I think doing this in conjunction with the Cake Nine 2019 Wishlist (more on this soon) will help me really be intentional on my knitting AND my stash enhancement.
Anyway, I know you’ve looked at my collage up above, but here’s a list of all the patterns and designers..
- Tecumseh by Caitlin Hunter
- Tegna by Caitlin Hunter
- TBD sweater
- On the Spice Market by Melanie Berg
- TBD shawl
- Magnolia Hat by Camilla Vad
- Snowfall Socks by Tabitha Gandee
- TBD socks
- TBD gloves
There you have it! Yes, I know some of these are things that everyone is knitting up lately, but some of these have been in my library since long before I started seeing them on podcasts! ;D In fact, ALL of these patterns are already in my library! So maybe the TBD things will be new patterns I will find next year to give me room to be obsessed with new things people design.
I think that’s it for today, but I’ll be back soon. I gotta decide on my Cake Nine wishlist! It’s going to be tough to decide on nine dyers I want to really focus on adding to my stash! As I said before, I’m going to try to coordinate that with my Make Nine!
