As I mentioned in my last entry, I created TWO brand new colorways for KnitCrate’s July Indie shipment. I had so much fun working with them on this to build a gorgeous palette full of bright summer tones.
Also, the base I used for this project was a brand new base I’m calling Passport DK. It’s the first in a new line of yarns I will be offering in limited quantities as I find them via various sources outside of my normal wholesale supply. So in a sense, I’m “traveling” a bit. Trying new things from new places. It will be a fun adventure, and you’ll never know what new bases I’ll have! Okay, back to the colorways now…
NOTE: all of these colorways are more vivid in real life. For some reason, when I upload the photos to WordPress, some of the saturation is taken away. So just know that if you’re wowed by these on the blog, if you order some, you’ll get your socks knocked off then you see them.
First up is Electroberry, a vibrant blue glazed with pink to create electrifying purple hues. I have had this idea in mind for so long, and it was awesome to finally have the chance to turn it into a colorway.
Next is Pink Lemonade, another colorway I’ve wanted to create for a while! I chose a hot pink in varying intensities to create depth but also emulate the most colorful hues in one of my favorite summer drinks.
Up next is an oldie but goodie I’ve had in my lineup for a very long time — Pumpkin Farm! The rich orange fit right in with the feel we were going for!
And last, Canary, a light shade that added a bit of sunshine to the palette.
All of these colorways, including Electroberry and Pink Lemonade, are in my colorway gallery and part of my custom order lineup! I also have more of this fun base, Passport DK, in stock. I’ve posted a call for orders in my Ravelry group, so whether you got the KnitCrate or not, if you’d like some Passport DK custom-dyed in any of my colorways, let me know!
