As I mentioned last night, a design with a deadline suddenly shouldered its way into my schedule. It’s exciting because it’s a design I’ve been planning for a little while and now I have a push to get it done, but I really don’t like deadlines. I mean, they’re good for helping you get stuff done and they really can keep a body on task. But for me, I dunno, it seems like typically they backfire on me where knit designing is concerned — even when I feel like I give myself three times the amount of time I think I’ll need. If you’re a designer and have found a key to helping you design and without stress can manage to meet your deadline, we need to talk. Really.
Anyway, my design will be knit with two skeins of my Madison Sport base. I decided on the colorway Allium and dyed up a couple of skeins our last dye day. I wound one into a cake yesterday so I could start swatching, and of course I took some pretty photos to share here. ;)
