there's just something about yarn...

Annie Yarn

Colorway: Indigo

July 25, 2015

As I’ve been thinking about what I want to do with my yarn brand, I’ve come to the conclusion that I need to fill in all gaps in my colorway palette slowly but surely..or maybe not so slowly. ;) One of those gaps was for a true blue, so I’ve created a new colorway that will be available in our next Woolhouse shop update very soon.

Every time I looked at it, I kept thinking indigo, but I thought indigo was more purple. I did some research and found that sometimes it’s quite purple-blue, but other times it really is a true blue, the exact shade of this yarn actually. I’ve always loved the sound of the word indigo, so this is quite satisfying.

Oh, and before I forget, here’s a sneak peek at our new yarn labels! We’re having them printed locally, and they’re even rounding the corners for us. One less hat Jenn and I have to share, and we are very excited. The new branding is already on the new Annie Yarn Web site I’m almost finished building, and now you’ll start seeing it on our yarn as well. Again, I must brag on the artistic talent of my youngest sister, as she hand-drew the new chickadee with Copic markers and then we put it into Adobe and she turned it into a graphic I can use on everything. It’s so cute I could look at it all day, which is good because some days I do! ;)
