Knitting Projects

Car Trip Knitting

January 4, 2019

We (Michael and I) went up to the Northside of Atlanta yesterday to visit a friend, and since he was good with driving, I took a couple projects along with me in my Field Bag–my Thunderstorm Toque and my Fade! I’m so glad I did, because I ended up getting A LOT of work done on my Thunderstorm Toque!! It is seriously flying off my needles. I’m attempting to finish it this weekend, so probably by Sunday evening.

I also took my iPad along and connected it to my phone via a personal hotspot so I could use the Making Things app on the road. Since we were on the Interstate most of the way, I had great signal and was able to keep my progress updated with their lovely highlight feature.

I know I keep talking about this app and how awesome it is–I just can’t help it! This is only my first project in the app, and I can’t wait to delve into more! I’m hoping a lot of the patterns on my Make Nine will end up in the app. I have all of them on Ravelry already, technically, but I’d rather use the app to keep track of my progress! It’s so much easier!

Anyway, I took both projects because I wasn’t sure what the day would hold and I wanted an engaging knit (toque) and a more mindless conversation knit (fade) just in case. I ended up not touching the fade because I was too busy talking with our friend..oops! But I’m still happy with all the progress I made on my toque!!
