For years I’ve had my eye on the Beekeeper’s Quilt pattern on Ravelry. Well, the other day I broke down and got it. I couldn’t resist any longer. I’ve got so many sock yarn leftovers, and I can’t wait to get started on my little hexipuffs. I bought a nice basket at Michaels, and my seamstress sister is going to make a liner for it so my hexipuffs don’t get snagged. I’m also trying to get her to make me a little drawstring pouch I can keep in my purse for on-the-go knitting. Hey, it’s not asking too much, is it? I want to get started right with this thing! Of course, I don’t knot when she’ll get this stuff done… I may not be able to wait.
Oh, right, I almost forgot. I’ve decided to keep a “Hexipuff Journal” and record everything about each hexipuff I make. Each one will be numbered, maybe even named, and I’ll write down the date I made it, the yarn I used, and maybe draw an illustration if it’s got colorwork or stripes. I’m going to create a printable journal page for myself, and I’d like to share it here on the blog for those of you who would like to have your own “Hexipuff Journal.” Let me know if you’d be interested!
Have a lovely day!
It sounds like an interesting project. Do you connect the puffs as you you go along or do you wait until they’re all done? I’ve got 48 squares waiting for me to sew together to make a blanket. Those squares have been waiting for (I won’t say how many) years. I haven’t given up on the goal of sewing or crocheting them together.
I am looking forward to following your blog and will be praying for your success.
Thanks for being the first person to comment on my new blog! And for the kind words. Such a blessing! :)
I’ll be waiting to put them together after I have a bunch of them. Maybe as I work on my puffs, you can work on putting your squares together, and we can cheer each other on!
