A Year Later..

April 15, 2017

Hello! Right now I’m wondering if anyone still checks this blog since it’s been over a year since my last entry. So much has changed since then, and I’ve got a lot to write about now! I think the break was good — even though I didn’t mean for it to be so very long! >_<

Since I last wrote, Annie Yarn has been on hiatus as I got pretty burned out creatively trying to keep things going to support my family. Things are much more settled, and I now have two part-time jobs. So Annie Yarn can be a fun outlet again! My creativity has been rejuvenated by the time off, and I can’t wait to hit the dye pots again this summer for fall knitting. I’ll be working on some projects the next couple of months that should make up for lost time — and make for lots of fun!

In the mean time, I’ll be knitting more!! I’ve got some projects I really need to finish as well as some awesome new ones I can’t wait to start. Aaaaaaand I have some new designs to release!! Wow, things sure have piled up while I was away!

One thing that I feel I have been learning lately is how to take me time. With two jobs, it’s super important so I don’t get burned out being around people so much. Taking the time to really rest without thinking about the million things need doing is soooooooo hard for me! But I am learning. I get a massage every two weeks. I go to knitting group as much as I can. I spend time with my family watching movies and going down town for a coffee. And doing FaceTime chats with my sister in Texas. Just gotta knit more. So I’m working on getting back into the habit of toting my knitting into the living room with me during an episode of Fixer Upper.

It’s good. Lots of wonderful changes are coming, and this summer is going to be awesome. I’m going to try to write here at least once a week, even if it’s just a quick update on what I’m knitting or dyeing. So please check back — and leave me comments!! <3
