Hiya everyone! I was just looking through my stash and realized that it’s not as overwhelming as I’d thought. Well, maybe it is but I’m in an optimistic mood right now. :P
Anyway, I’ve decided that I need to destash before the end of the year. In this case, I’m using the word “destash” as a quick way to say knit as much as I can. I’ve already got a lot of the yarn paired with patterns, so it’s just a matter of sitting down and knitting. So I’m going to do what I hope will become an annual thing for the last 90 days of each year. Well, it’s not 90 precisely. There’s a little wiggle room, which is good. But to keep things simple, we’ll call it 90 days.
Why am I blogging about this? Because I’d love it if some of you would join me in what I’m calling the 2013 Destash Dash. Basically you pull out your stash (or look through it on Ravelry like I did) and decide if you want to sell/give away anything, decide how much of it you want to use up by the end of the year, and then knit knit knit!
I’m going to make myself a printable sheet so I can keep track of my progress every month. I’d like to see how much yardage I use per month just for fun! I’ll probably post the printable sheet on here for those of you who want to do the dash too.
During the dash, I’ll post updates here as well as on Instagram and Twitter using the hash tag #2013destashdash. If you decide to jump in with me, leave me a comment and use the hash tag in your social media updates as well. We could have a lot of fun! :D
Okay, I’m off now to look at my works in progress and decide which one to tackle after supper. Ta-ta!
