Hello y’all! Hope you’re having a fabulous Tuesday now that the Monday blues are done for the week!
My knitwear designs have seen so many changes in branding over the years. I just haven’t known what to do with them or what to publish them under. The last iteration of my design “company” was Little Oaktree Knits. It was fun while it lasted, but it’s made for way more work than I had originally thought. So I set out to find a solution. That meant closing the site and letting go of the domain name. NOW WHAT?! I asked myself. I discussed it with my sisters, and Jenn made a brilliant suggestion that I wish I could take credit for… why not have your patterns be part of your yarnblog? *lightbulb moment*
And that’s what I’m doing. My designs shall officially be published under Something About Yarn! I have created a new format for my designs, and I’ll be systematically going through and reformatting them and re-uploading them on Ravelry. I’ll have a portfolio here on the blog, and it’ll be so much easier to maintain! I mean, I write about them here anyway. I post photos and updates of my process (when I’m actually designing, that is..). Makes sense that they would be housed here under the awesome umbrella that covers all of my yarn expeditions!
Okay, done rambling now. I’d better get to work!
p.s., check out that addition to the navigation bar — the “PATTERNS” one! The page is still under construction, but you’ll get the idea of what I’m going for!
